As of Tuesday, Blink-182 is officially an independent artist, according to a tweet sent out by Tom DeLonge.
Here's what he tweeted:
People were unsure if Tom's statement was true, but MTV was able to get in touch with Mark Hoppus, who confirmed the split from Intercope after the band's 15-year relationship with Universal Music Group.
In the same MTV article, Mark said, "Now the future's a wide-open door."
According to Mark, Blink-182 will continue to work on new material and is excited to move foward with their independent status.
Do you think Blink-182 made the right choice to leave?
